Rosvodokanal Group (“RVK” or “the Company”) is the leading and one of the first professional private operators of water supply and sewage systems in Russia. The history of the Company dates back to 1949, when it was founded by the USSR government, and for more than 50 years was the main project developer in the field of construction and water supply and sewage management across the country. Since becoming part of Alfa Group in 2003, RVK has been reorganized into an inter-regional group, which combines a management company and regional operators of local water supply and sewage systems in Barnaul, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Omsk, Orenburg, Tver and Tyumen.
The Company implements the most progressive public private partnership model in the market, allowing municipalities to attract significant private investments into housing and public utilities sector and to utilize professional and successful managers.
RVK’s business development objective is continued improvement of service quality and expansion into new regions of Russia.
Employing about 10,000 employees, in 2016 RVK serviced about 5.0 mln individual customers and more than 43,000 enterprises. The Company’s revenue reached US$274 mln and total assets amounted US$336 mln. In 2016, the leading international rating agency Fitch Ratings confirmed the Company’s “BB-“ credit rating with a stable outlook.
In July 2016, to strengthen its leading position as the largest private water supply and sewage operator in Russia, RVK’s shareholders contributed more than RUR 1 bln additional share capital to RVK, thus improving the Company’s position on the market and increasing its competitiveness, efficiency and reliability.
Since 2007 RVK’s regional operators are implementing investment programmes of over RUR 33.9 bln in water infrastructure development and modernization.
