X5 Retail Group operates several retail formats including Pyaterochka proximity stores, Perekrestok supermarkets and Karusel hypermarkets.
The Group's Revenue reached RUR 1,532,537 mln (US $24,439 mln) in 2018. Total net selling space exceeded 6.4 mln m2 as of 31 December 2018. In 2018 the Group’s stores had more than 4.5 bln customer visits. More than 278 thousand people work at the Group. As of 31 December 2018 the Group operated 14,431 stores.
Pyaterochka, a chain of conveniently located proximity stores, is one of Russia’s leading retail brands.
Pyaterochka stores are focused on easy and economical shopping, located primarily in residential areas and close to shoppers’ homes, where customers can always find quality goods at reasonable prices. The stores’ range consists of approximately 4,500 SKUs. An average net selling space is approximately 400 square meters. As of 31 December 2018 Pyaterochka operated 13,522 stores.
Perekrestok is the leading national supermarket chain in Russia.
Perekrestok strives to be customers’ first choice for fresh products supported by a complementary assortment and pricing strategy. The supermarkets offer an assortment of 8,000 to 15,000 SKUs and have net selling space of approximately 1,000 square meters. As of 31 December 2018 Perekrestok operated 760 stores.
Karusel is one of the largest hypermarket chains currently operating in Russia.
Karusel stores offer customers convenient one-stop shopping at fair prices with a wide range of quality food and non-food products, efficient service at cash registers and a loyalty programme. The stores target an average net selling space of approximately 4,000 square meters and carry an average of 20,000 to 30,000 SKUs. As of 31 December 2018 Karusel operated 94 stores.
