Johann Jonach appointed CEO of Alfa Banking Group

Alfa-Bank has announced the appointment of Johann Jonach as CEO of Alfa Banking Group. The Group incorporates five banks: in Russia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Alfa Banking Group focuses on the fastest growing and most lucrative segments of the commercial banking market, as well as investing in high-tech operating platforms and skilled personnel.

Johann Jonach was born in 1962, Austria. Graduate of the Vienna Economic University, specializing in Commercial Science, he is a holder of Master’s Degree in Social and Economic Science. Before joining Alfa-Bank, Johann Jonach served as Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank. From 2006 to 2007 — Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Austria. In 2003-2006, Deputy Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Ukraine. In 2000-2002, Chairman of the Board at Raiffeizenbank in Bulgaria. In 1999, Member of the Board at Raiffeizenbank-Ukraine. From 1990 to 1995 — Head of CIS Representative Office, Raiffeizen Centralbank, Moscow. Johann Jonach speaks Russian, German, English, Bulgarian and Italian. Johann Jonach is married and has two children.
