Wide Public Recognition
09 Jun 2006

On June 3, 2006, in the Grand Kremlin Palace, top public awards of the Russian Federation – Peter the Great orders and awards were given in the framework of celebrations of the Tenth Anniversary of Peter the Great Assembly.

According to Resolution No. 17 of May 25, 2006 of the Russian Federation Government, OJSC Novosibirskneftegas was awarded the “Peter the Great Order of Honor” for a sizeable contribution to the economic development of Russian regions.

The “Peter the Great Order of Honor” was established by the “New Time Managers” foundation on September 27, 2001 as a public award of the Russian Federation for considerable services and achievements contributing to the welfare of Russia.

Says Ramil Rishadovich Bulgakov, General Director of Novosibirskneftegas: “The fact that our company has received a public award makes me proud of its entire personnel and the impressive results it has achieved. The “Peter the Great Order of Honor” is a deserved recognition of the efficient work of the Novosibirskneftegas staff and its every single representative. I think this award should be viewed as an incentive stimulating further growth of the company’s performance efficiency. This award is also a recognition of Novosibirskneftegas as a subsidiary of TNK-BP.”

Judging by its performance in 2002–2005, Novosibirskneftegas was named as one of the most dynamically developing companies in the Novosibirsk Region. During the last five years, the performance of Novosibirskneftegas is characterized by a constant annual growth of oil production of approximately 30% on average. In 2005, the company produced 1,354,400 tons of oil, which is 45.9% more than in 2004.

The results of production drilling in 2005 helped ascertain the geological structure of the Verkh-Tarsk oil field and its in-place reserves. The expected growth of reserves is more than 40%.

For prospecting new fields and exploring the already discovered fields, Novosibirskneftegas conducts extensive geological exploration works on the territories of the Mezhovsk, Rakitinsk, and Vostochny license areas.

A program of geological exploration works for 2006–2010 is already worked out and approved. According to this program, the expected growth of oil reserves of categories C1 and C2 exceeds 36 million tons.

Novosibirskneftegas is a socially oriented company, a reliable partner, and a responsible taxpayer in the region. The project of development of the Verkh-Tarsk oil field utterly important for the Northern Region. In accordance with the license agreement on cooperation between TNK-BP and the Administration of the Novosobirsk Region, Novosibirskneftegas allocates and transfers funds for the social development of the region every year. These funds are used for the renovation of public buildings, remuneration of public sector employees, and development of the regional infrastructure. In 2005, 18 million rubles was allocated for the social and economic development of the Northern Region. Apart from that, the company invested 60 million rubles into the reconstruction of regional automobile roads, including the Severnoe–Biaza road.

The taxes paid by the company make a tangible contribution to the regional budget. Every year the company is given the honorable title of the “Best Taxpayer of the Novosibirsk Region.” In 2005, Novosibirskneftegas increased its tax payments into the budget 2.4 times compared to the previous year. In particular, 3,107.816 million rubles was transferred to the federal budget, 603.595 million rubles to the budget of the Novosibirsk Region, 11.790 million rubles to to the local budget, and 14.665 million rubles to non-budgetary funds.

Environmental protection is one of the high priorities of Novosibirskneftegas. Currently, Novosibirskneftegas is the only company in the region that monitors the environmental situation in the area of its activities. In 2005, 210 samples were taken and analyzed. Analysis showed that the concentrations of pollutants decreased compared to the previous year. By and large, most of the monitored environmental parameters were stable and met the current environmental protection requirements.

In December 2005, Novosibirskneftegas successfully integrated an environmental management system. On December 26, 2005, Novosibirskneftegas was granted a Certificate of Compliance of its environmental management system with the international standard ISO 14001:2004.
