TNK-BP Signed an Agreement of Cooperation with Rostekhnadzor 07 Jul 2006
On July 6, 2006, the Federal Environmental, Engineering and Nuclear Supervision Agency (Rostekhnadzor) and TNK-BP signed an agreement of cooperation for further development of oil-and-gas-production, oil-refining and petrochemical enterprises of the TNK-BP Group.
Konstantin Pulikovsky, Head of Rostekhnadzor, and German Khan, Executive Director of TNK-BP, put their signatures under the agreement.
The agreement was signed for raising the level of industrial and environmental safety during the design, construction and operation of TNK-BP enterprises.
The agreement implies development and coordination of joint actions of the territorial agencies of Rostekhnadzor and companies of the TNK-BP Group for assessing and monitoring the risks associated with the operation of hazardous industrial facilities. Apart from that, the agreement will expand and facilitate the information exchange between TNK-BP and the Federal Environmental, Engineering and Nuclear Supervision Agency based on the use of modern information systems, scientific and practical seminars, conferences, and personnel training measures.
In particular, the parties agreed to continue their experiment for improving the system of industrial safety management of the Ryazan Refinery (OJSC RNPK), involve the environmental management system into the experiment, and integrate efficient ways and methods of state supervision at other enterprises of the TNK-BP Group.
The parties to this bipartite agreement are going to develop the scientific and methodological support of industrial and environmental safety, provide scientific and engineering support for industrial and environmental safety during the design and construction of large engineering complexes, and work out and implement corporate and inter-corporate programs of industrial safety and environmental protection.
TNK-BP and the Federal Environmental, Engineering and Nuclear Supervision Agency have created a working group for working out proposals for the management of joint measures and controlling the implementation of these measures.
