ALFA-ECO NEW PRESIDENT TO ASSUME OFFICE ON OCTOBER 15 07 Oct 2003
Alexander Savin, the new President of the Alfa-Eco group, will assume his office on October 15. Before occupying this position, Savin was a director at the Renaissance Capital investment and banking department. According to Alfa-Eco Vice President Igor Baranovsky, Alexander Savin will be responsible for the group's strategic business development and corporate management.
Alexander Savin was born in 1969. He is a graduate of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Harvard Business School, he studied in Dalian Institute of Foreign Languages (China) and Russian-US Independent University. Savin worked for the Bain & Company consulting company in Moscow, Boston and London in 1992 to 2001. At this company, he was responsible for projects related to direct investments in various economic sectors and strategic development for the largest international corporations. In 2000 to 2001, Savin acted as member of the Alfa Group supervisory board and since September 2001 until his election as Alfa-Eco President, he was Director at the Renaissance Capital investment and banking department responsible for large investment projects in the electricity and other sectors. His other positions included Deputy Chairman of the Kuzbassenergo board of directors and a member of the Mosenergo board of directors.
