TNK-BP Ready to Fund Environmental Programs at the Lisichansk Refinery

This year TNK-BP is going to invest over UH 20 million into environmental programs implemented at the Lisichansk refinery. The idea is to channel funds towards reconstruction of the refinery''s environment-protection facilities, in particular, towards finalizing construction of the waste water biochemical treatment stations of 2 industrial sewerage systems, localizing and liquidating of subterranean water pollution foci, construction of the sulphur/alkaline discharge treatment unit and the pumping station to pump treated and rain discharge. According to Philipp Carpeco, Head of the Treatment Department at TD TNK-Ukraine, this will enable to greatly enhance water-salt balance not only in Lisichansk where the enterprise is based but in the entire Lugansk Region.
