Alfa-Bank Takes the Leading Spot in the Top 20 Best IT Banks in Russia 2006
05 Jul 2006

Alfa-Bank heads the list of the best IT banks in Russia for three consecutive years. This rating is the results of an annual study performed by CNews Analytics (CNA), an independent Russian research group, focused on IT and telecommunication sectors in the country.

According to CNA experts, Alfa-Bank demonstrates successful management of its IT-infrastructure. «We are increasingly focusing on modern banking services based on advanced technologies and the Internet which are bringing both customer value and efficiency to our operations. The implementation of Microsoft Systems Management Server helps us to control our IT-infrastructure, that includes 121 offices in Moscow and regions,» says Sergey Mednov, IT Director of Alfa-Bank.

To evaluate the IT-systems of banks, CNews Analytics examined 30 major credit institutions based on Central Bank of Russia data, and the management of their IT-systems. The project did not include foreign banks operating in Russia.
