Global Finance names Alfa-Bank Best Bank in Russia for 2008 in the Category: Trade Finance
04 Feb 2008

Global Finance magazine has named the “Best Trade Finance Banks and Providers” by category in an exclusive survey to be published in its February 2008 issue. The magazine named Alfa-Bank the “Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia for 2008”. Prior to this, Alfa-Bank was voted “Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia” in 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003 and 2001.

Global Finance editors — with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts — selected the best trade finance provider in 57 countries or regions. Criteria for choosing the winners included transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.

“The consolidation of our market position in structured loan products, such as trade finance, structured finance and leasing, remains one of Alfa-Bank’s priorities. The sustainable growth of our business has been based on the introduction of modern banking products and advanced technologies, as well as a focus on new and fast growing industries and segments of the market. We remain committed to our fundamental value: winning the trust and loyalty of our clients”, said Maxim Topper, Head of International Banking and Financial Institutions in Alfa-Bank.

Maxim Topper, Head of International Banking and Financial Institutions in Alfa-Bank, is the key top manager responsible for Alfa-Bank Trade Finance.
