Alfa-Bank honored in NAUFOR’s Elite of the Securities Market Awards
31 May 2006

The National Association of Securities Market Participants (NAUFOR) has presented its Elite of the Securities Market Awards, held every year for members of NAUFOR. A nationwide jury chose the winners from among 20 nominees. Alfa-Bank won a special award for Broadening Investment Horizons.

Alfa-Bank was honored for its active work on the securities market in 2005. The Bank offered investors a full spectrum of brokerage services and research coverage encompassing not only Russian companies, but the industrial and economic sectors of Ukraine and Kazakhstan as well. Being a regional broker, Alfa-Bank provides clients with opportunities to invest funds in the securities of these countries and sees increased interest among the international investment community during investment conferences in Kiev, Almaty and Astana annually hosted by Alfa-Bank.

This is not Alfa-Bank’s first award from NAUFOR’s Elite of the Securities Market. Alfa-Bank previously won the categories of Best Company on the M&A Market (2003), Best Credit Organization on the Securities Market (2001, 2002), and was a laureate in the categories of Trading and Bond Market Companies (2001).

This was the sixth annual Elite of the Securities Market Awards ceremony. The awards are designed to raise the level of professionalism on the Russian securities market and to support their most successful participants.

In attendance at the Elite of the Securities Market Awards ceremony were Federal Service on Financial Markets head Oleg Vyugin; Chairman of NAUFOR’s Board of Directors and of the Federation Council’s Committee on Financial Markets and Currency Circulation Sergei Vasiliev; Deputy Chairman of the State Duma’s Committee on Credit Organizations Anatoly Aksakov; RTS President Oleg Safonov; MICEX General Director Alexei Rybnikov and others.
