TNK-BP's Website Recognized as Best Corporate Website
03 Nov 2004

TNK-BP's corporate website was designated Corporate Press Leader 2004, part of the Best Corporate Website category, in a competition sponsored by the Russian branch of the International Association of Business Communicators' First Corporate Press Forum.

The competition, which took place on November 2, 2004 as part of the First Corporate Press Forum, is intended to foster international standards in corporate periodicals and to upgrade corporate press as a tool of business development and corporate image promotion.

When summing up results and determining the winners, the contest commission emphasized that TNK-BP's website is ergonomic, easy to use, creative and high-tech.

The Company's President and CEO, Robert Dudley, said that "this website is a critical component of our strategy aimed at providing consistent and open information on TNK-BP, its operations, values, operating principles and future plans to external audiences."

The First Corporate Press Forum was established by the Russian branch of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) with support from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Board of the Media Industry Association (BMIA).

Representatives of Russian and global companies and major corporations involved in different industries and having corporate publications - such as Norilsk Nickel, Tatneft, LUKOIL Overseas Service Ltd., Interros, Gazprombank AB, ROMIR, Russian Savings Bank, MegaPhone, URALSIB and RBC - as well as professional unions, associations and educational institutions such as Moscow State University participated in the forum.
