CTC Media, Inc. (CTC Media) is one of the largest independent commercial television broadcasters in Russia offering entertainment programming. It operates three free-to-air Russian television networks, CTC, Domashny and DTV, and a number of owned-and-operated regional television stations across Russia, which broadcast CTC, Domashny and DTV programming and also owns Channel 31 in Kazakhstan and broadcasting companies in Uzbekistan and Moldova with a total potential audience of more than 180 mln people.
CTC is a television channel offering high quality entertainment programming targeted principally at viewers aged 6—54. About 100 million people are within CTC’s signal reach. Domashny Network, launched in 2005, is principally targeted at female audiences aged 25—60. About 68 million people are currently within Domashny’s signal reach. DTV Network, launched in 1999, is principally targeted at viewers aged 25—54. About 60 million people are within DTV signal reach.
CTC Media seeks to strengthen its position by expanding the reach of its brands to other markets in the CIS and other countries where Russian content is a proven success with audiences. Thus, CTC international channel was launched in the United States (from December 2009) and in Israel (from June 2010).
