Alfa-Bank Takes the Leading Spot in the Top 20 Best IT Banks in Russia 2005

Alfa-Bank heads the 2005 list of the best IT banks in Russia, and is recognized as the best internet-banking services provider among Russia’s largest banks.

These two ratings are the results of an annual study performed by CNews Analytics (CNA), an independent Russian research group, focused on IT and telecommunication sectors in the country. The results were published in CNwes100, the first-ever rating of largest IT companies in Russia in 2003.

Sergei Mednov, Information Technologies Director at Alfa-Bank, says that banks have to adapt themselves to changing environments and improve IT systems to meet the varying requirements of clients and the market. “Alfa-Bank has made a huge investments in IT system and now we see a return”, notes Mednov.

To evaluate the IT-systems of banks, CNews Analytics examined 30 major credit institutions based on Central Bank of Russia data, and the improvement of the following parameters:

The project did not include foreign banks operating in Russia.

Alfa-Bank Russia
