On Friday Alfa-Bank signed US $230 million Trade-Related Term Syndicated Loan — the biggest Syndicated Loan for a Russian private bank ever

The 364-day term facility was arranged by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Raiffeisen Zentralbank Oesterreich AG, Alpha Bank A. E., National Bank of Egypt (UK) Limited, Demir-Halk Bank (Nederland) N.V., National Bank of Greece S.A., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited, Standard Bank London Limited, Commerzbank AG. It is priced at 150 basis points over LIBOR and upon maturity can be extended for a further one consecutive 364-day period. The facility was presented by 45 Banks-Lenders from different countries.

“This unique transaction will further strengthen the perception of Alfa-Bank on international financial markets as one of the Russia’s largest privately owned banks. The proceeds from this loan will be used to finance trade-related projects of our most important clients”, says Maxim Topper, Senior Vice-President of Alfa-Bank.
