Alfa-Eco gets control over Patra brewery
22 Jul 2004

On July 20, 2004, the shareholders' meeting of the Patra brewery (Yekaterinburg) elected a new Board of Directors and appointed a new General Director, namely Alfa-Eco's representative Alexander Malakh. Igor Tochilov, the former General Director of the brewery, was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The aim of restructuring the company's management is to strengthen Patra's position as the leader on the regional market, optimize operational and financial performance of the company, modernize and increase production facilities, improve product quality as well as to implement modern methods of corporate governance.

Taking into account Patra's relations with Sun Interbrew, the management of the company will strive to start successful cooperation with Sun Interbrew. First steps have already been made in this direction. In particular, joint consultations on changing Patra's management and on the company's strategic development have been held.
