Global Finance names Alfa-Bank Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia
22 Dec 2006

Global Finance magazine has named the “Best Trade Finance Banks and Providers” by category in an exclusive survey to be published in its February 2007 issue. The magazine named Alfa-Bank the “Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia for 2007”. Prior to this, Alfa-Bank was voted “Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia” in 2004, 2003 and 2001.

Global Finance editors — with input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts — selected the best trade finance provider in 57 countries or regions. Criteria for choosing the winners included transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.

“The consolidation of our market position in complex loan products, such as trade finance, structured finance and leasing, remains one of Alfa-Bank’s priorities. The sustainable growth of our business has been based on the introduction of modern banking products and advanced technologies, as well as a focus on new and fast growing industries and segments of the market. We remain committed to our fundamental value: winning the trust and loyalty of our clients”, said Vladimir Tatarchuk, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Head of Corporate Bank.

Alexander Sergeenko, Head of Trade Finance, and Maxim Topper, Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions Department, are the key top managers responsible for Alfa-Bank Trade Finance.

Global Finance, which marks its 20th year of publishing in 2007, has 50,000 subscribers and more than 254,000 readers in 158 countries. Its audience includes chairmen, presidents, CEOs, CFOs, treasurers and other financial officers responsible for making investments and strategic business decisions for global companies and financial institutions. Global Finance also targets 8,000 key portfolio investors who control over 80% of all assets under professional management.
