Andrei Rogachev Resigns as Member of X5 Supervisory Board

Amsterdam, 21 April 2008 - X5 Retail Group N.V., Russia's largest food retailer in terms of sales (LSE ticker: "FIVE"), announced today Mr. Andrei Rogachev's resignation as a member of its Supervisory Board.

Mr. Rogachev resigned from the Supervisory Board of X5 Retail Group N.V. on 21 April 2007 in order to concentrate on his other business activities.

Mr. Rogachev was a founder of Pyaterochka and following Pyaterochka's merger with Perekrestok  (as X5 Retail Group N.V. was known at the time) in May 2006, Mr. Rogachev remained a member of the Supervisory Board of X5 Retail Group N.V., where he continued to contribute to the overall strategy and development of X5 Retail Group N.V.

The Supervisory Board will consider a replacement for Mr. Rogachev, which will be subject to prior approval by the general meeting of shareholders of X5 Retail Group N.V.
