Emerging Markets Newspaper names Alfa Bank "Best Trade Finance Bank in Russia and the CIS" and "Best Correspondent Bank in Russia and the CIS"

"We at Alfa Bank are honored that our performance in trade finance and correspondent banking was recognized by editors of the Emerging Markets newspaper. With more structural economic reforms underway and growing involvement of Russia in international economic relations we are looking forward to 2004 results" - said Maxim Topper, head of financial institutions and correspondent banking department with Alfa Bank.

The awards were announced in the April 19 edition of Emerging Markets that was distributed at the EBRD meeting in London, April 17-19, 2004.

Emerging Markets has achieved a longstanding reputation as the newspaper of record for the annual IMF, World Bank and regional development bank meetings. Emerging Markets circulates to an extremely influential audience of public and private sector opinion formers
