TNK-Ukraine Trading House LLC is Winner in the Choice of the Year 2004 International Festival and Contest

The Fourth International Conference entitled Promotion of Brand Goods and Services in the Ukrainian Market took place in Yalta in October 15-17, 2004. This event is a stage in the Choice of the Year international festival and contest in Ukraine. TNK-Ukraine Trading House LLC has been becoming the winner in the Petroleum Company of the Year category for the third year running. Ms. Irina Kovalchuk, Head of the Department for Advertising and Public Relations, was awarded with the Choice of the Year golden medal and the appropriate diploma at the conference within the first part of the solemn awarding ceremony. Therefore, TNK-Ukraine Trading House, just as other leaders in each product category, was granted the right to be named Product/Service No. 1 in Ukraine. The pan-Ukrainian marketing survey of consumer preferences, which is a criterion in determination of winners, was held by a respectful company TNS Ukraine (Taylor Nelson Sofres Ukraine). The survey was held for 180 product categories. The Choice of the Year festival and contest has been held in Ukraine since 2001. This project was initiated by Fåstivals International, U.S.A., and European Marketing Foundation, Belgium, at the European Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Brussels, together with the European Marketing Research Center, Belgium. The main objective of the Choice of the Year festival and contest is to identify the best goods and services in each category and to communicate this information to the end user. The advantage of the Choice of the Year is a professionally elaborated set of methods for identification of overall positions of a product/service of any given company in the Ukrainian market, which enables to make the contest unbiased and transparent.
The Choice of the Year festival and contest is the only event of such a format, which subjects its results to strict audit, in Ukraine. Deloitte has been the official auditor of the Choice of the Year festival and contest since 2002.
