The New Generation Program Is Now Traditional 02 Nov 2005
The oil company TNK-BP announced the contest of the grant program New Generation, which has become a good tradition now. The program supports the public, state and municipal organizations that render help to the oncoming generation.
The budget of the program is $20,000. Four grants $5,000 each will be awarded for the best work in each nomination. Projects in the nomination “Generation 2020” are be oriented to the support of talented children. The nomination “TNK-BP Family: Love, Support and Care” is for assisting the upbringing, adaptation and education of socially unprotected children and difficult adolescents.
Projects in the nomination “Our Health Is Our Success” are intended for helping sports and recreation organizations and clubs for children and teenagers. The nomination “Green Program of TNK-BP” serves for supporting and developing children’s environmental protection organizations and associations. The projects submitted at this contest will be examined by an Expert Council consisting of renowned and honored people of Udmurtia, among them E.I. Bogomolnyi, Member of GosDuma (Parliament) of the Russian Federation; Z.A. Bogomolova, honorary citizen of Udmurtia; A.L. Kuznetsov, Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Udmurtia; N.A. Kharina, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Republic of Udmurtia; A.R. Chizhov, many-times champion of the world in checkers; and V.V. Chinkov, Director of the Public Relations Department of TNK-BP Udmurtia.
The presented projects should serve charitable purposes, and their results should be useful for other organizations and be interesting to the general public.
Any nonprofit organizations of Udmurtia may take part in the grant program of TNK-BP New Generation.
For the fourth consecutive year now, children and teenagers’ organizations come out the winners of the New Generation program and successfully implement their projects owing to the support rendered by the oil company TNK-BP, which points to the social responsibility of this company and its large-scale charitable activities.
