Russia's First Oil-Extracting Enterprise with Three Quality Certificates at Its Disposal
18 Aug 2004

The business management system that meets international and national HSE standards, such as MS ISO 14001:1996 and OHSAS-18001:1999, in the field of oil and gas extraction, pumping, treatment and transfer was set up in TNK-Nyagan OJSC, TNK-BP's subsidiary making part of Nyagan business unit. Such decision was made by an expert group of the Russian Register Association and SAI Global on July 23, 2004. To confirm this conformity, TNK-Nyagan OJSC has registration certificates issued by SAI Global and IQNet on August 17, 2004. They evidence that the management system of TNK-Nyagan OJSC meets the requirements of MS ISO 14001:1996 as well as OHSAS 18001:1999. For TNK -Nyagan OJSC it is another stage in expansion and perfection of the quality management system. On July 17, 2003, the Company was certified under the ISĪ 9001-2000 quality management system and confirmed its conformity with it on July 23. According to available information, TNK -Nyagan OJSC is probably Russia's only oil-extracting enterprise having at its disposal three certificates to support availability of quality management systems and the HSE risk management system that meets international standards.
