TNK-BP to Push Up Refining Volumes by 8%, Almost to 24 Million Tons in 2004 18 Feb 2004
The Russo-British petroleum company TNK-BP plans to step up refining volumes by 8%, to 23.7 million tons. As the Ryazan Refinery Press Service informed, Duglas Harris, TNK-BP''s Vice President, Refining, announced that during the workshop for heads of TNK-BP''s refining enterprises. In his words, the principal project for the company is construction of the vacuum hydraulic purification unit at the Ryazan refinery, which is planned to be finalized by mid-2005. As was reported earlier, as a result of reconstruction, increase in light oil product output is expected at the Ryazan refinery, up to 66%, and increase in refining degree, up to 82%. Additionally, this year TNK-BP is planning to finalize construction of a visbreaking unit at the Saratov refinery and the bitumen production unit in the Lisichansk refinery. Commissioning of the visbreaking section at the Saratov refinery would enable to improve refining degree from 60% tî 72%-75%, and also to increase the share of high-octane gasoline of ÀI-92 and AI-95 brands.
