17 Dec 2004

On December 17, 2004, in Moscow, TNK-BP Executive Director German Khan and Governor of the Saratov Region Dmitry Ayatskov signed an agreement on mutual cooperation in 2005. This document identifies the principles of social partnership between TNK-BP and the region. The agreement envisages cooperation in development of the resource base of the region and its industry, as well as environmental activities, and implementation of social programs.

According to German Khan, the TNK-BP counts on a long-term relationship with the Saratov Region. He was emphasized the fact that stable operation of the TNK-BP facilities in Saratov makes a tangible contribution to the region's social and economic development.

In accordance with the signed agreement, in 2005 TNK-BP is going to increase its funding of social programs in the Saratov Region by more than 60 %. The funding will be provided through the Raduga Charity Fund. The charity program provides support to education, medical care, culture and sports in the region.
