Altimo appoints Roger de Bazelaire as new CFO
17 Jan 2006

Altimo, a leading Moscow-based telecom investment company in the high growth markets in Europe and Asia , has appointed Roger de Bazelaire as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Roger de Bazelaire joins Altimo from Polish Telecom (Telecomunikacija Polska SA), Central Europe ’s largest telecommunications company and part of France Telecom Group, where he held the position of CFO since 2002. Before that, he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, latterly as a Partner and Regional Director of the Warsaw Office of Dresdner Kleinwort Capital (1999-2002) and prior to that as an Investment Director with PTP-Kleinwort Benson (1995-1999).

Roger de Bazelaire graduated from HEC School of Management (Paris) in 1978 and received his BA in Philosophy from the Sorbonne in 1979.

“I am delighted Roger has joined our expanding team of investment and telecommunications professionals,” said Alexey Reznikovich, Altimo’s CEO. “I believe his experience will be a key part of Altimo’s success both in Russia and abroad in coming years.”

Altimo

Altimo, a leading private equity group, operating on some of the world's most desirable and potencially lucrative mobile telecommunications markets, was created in 2005 from Alfa Telecom, which itself was established in 2004 to hold the telecoms investments of the Alfa Group Consortium (Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S., Kyivstar GSM, MegaFon, VimpelCom, Sky Mobile). Those assets are in Russia, the CIS and other promising emerging markets.
