Alfa Bank and Samsung Electronics have announced the start of a long term strategic partnership in the field of mobile banking — providing banking services by means of an application installed on a mobile phone. The preliminary results of the partnership is the test launch of a service unique to the Russian market, “Alfa-Mobile” which will be accessible to all clients of Alfa Bank Express, who have a newer mobile phone as well as an “Alfa-Life” tariff plan.

Samsung Electronics was chosen as a strategic partner in order to realize such a revolutionary project for a bank, since the company is widely known as the leader in the areas of technology and innovation.

For the first phase, with the help of “Alfa-Mobile” and a mobile phone, it will be possible to — anytime and anywhere — pay for mobile phone services as well as obtain balances on all customer bank accounts. In the future new functionality will be developed adding to the list of possible operations. Once the service has been fully tested, it will be launched commercially.

As a result, clients do not have to visit a branch and fill in numerous documents. With the time saved as a result of this new service, clients can choose to do things more important to them, such as take a break from their busy lives to meet with friends and family.”
