Alfa-Bank Russia Named Best Company on Russian Securities Market Servicing Individual Investors
15 Jun 2010

On June 3, the Russian National Association of Securities Market Participants (NAUFOR) announced the results of the Elite of the Securities Market Awards (2009). The awards are the oldest and among the most respected in Russian finance. Alfa-Bank Russia came out top in the Service Companies for Individual Investors category.

Denis Soloviev, Chief Operating Officer of the Corporate-Investment Banking received the award on behalf of Alfa-Bank Russia at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Moscow City Golf Club.

Sergey Rybakov, Alfa-Direct Sales Director, said, «Over the past several years, investment companies traditionally keep leadership in the Service Companies for Individual Investors category. For a full-service bank, this is not often a core banking product. However, since the launch of Alfa-Direct at the very beginning of Internet trading in Russia in 2000, we have always taken a special interest in this type of service. We are therefore immensely proud that NAUFOR, as part of the investment community, has recognized Alfa-Bank’s work with individual investors.»

This is not first award that Alfa-Bank Russia has received from NAUFOR at the Elite of the Securities Market Awards. Alfa-Bank Russia was previously recognized as the Best Trading and Bond Market Company (2001), and the Best Credit Organization in the Securities Market (2002).

Alfa-Bank Russia has been several times awarded with the Elite of the Securities Market. The Bank previously won the categories of Trading and Bond Market Companies (2001), Best Credit Organization in the Securities Market (2002), Company of the M&A Market (2003), winning a special award for Broadening Investment Horizons (2005).
