TNK-BP Announces Three Senior Appointments

TNK-BP today announced three senior appointments to its management team.

Maxim Barsky has been appointed Executive Vice-President Strategy and Business Development of the TNK-BP group of companies. Mr. Barsky has been Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors of West Siberian Resources, an independent oil and gas company with operations in Russia. He has diverse experience in creating and managing businesses in mergers and acquisitions, business development and investment consulting in Russia, the UK and the US.

Pavel Skitovich has been appointed Executive Vice-President, primarily responsible for planning and performance management, and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Skitovich will continue to build and enhance effective planning, budgeting and performance systems and processes to encourage continuous improvement in the company’s long-term operating and financial metrics. Mr. Skitovich has extensive management experience in driving performance improvement and earlier headed Polyus Gold, a leading gold producer in Russia, also serving as a member of the Management Board of the Interros group of companies. 

Kris Sliger has been appointed Executive Vice-President responsible for coordinating TNK-BP’s equity investor relations and establishing and delivering the next phase of its strategy to bring greater transparency and improved liquidity for TNK-BP investors.  

“I welcome the new appointments to our team as we prepare for the next phase of TNK-BP’s evolution,” said Mikhail Fridman, Interim Chief Executive Officer of TNK-BP. “Continuity of our management team is strengthened by fresh ideas and expertise contributed by the new cadre.”

TNK-BP is a major, vertically integrated Russian oil and gas company. In 2010, average daily oil production totaled 1.74 million barrels per day (excluding a 50% interest of Slavneft). TNK-BP operates five refineries (four in Russia and one in Ukraine) and nearly 1,490 branded retail outlets across both countries.
