15 Dec 2006

On December 14, 2006 Alfa-Bank signed a US $340 million Trade-Related Term Syndicated Loan.

The 364-day term facility was arranged by The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Commerzbank AG, ICICI Bank UK Plc and NATIXIS. It is priced at 45 basis points over LIBOR and upon maturity can be extended for a second consecutive 364-day period. The facility was underwritten by 41 Banks-Lenders from different countries.

“With this transaction Alfa Bank completes it most successful year ever in the international banks’ term loan market with over US$1 billion raised — a record among all Russian privately owned banks”, says Maxim Topper, Managing Director of Alfa-Bank.
