"Russia's Best Managers" contest

Kompaniya, the Russian business weekly, has once again chosen the incumbents for its "Best Managers" contest. The 2004 awards ceremony was held on October 12 in the rooms of Moscow's National History Museum.

Winners of previous editions include top managers from companies such as MDM Bank, ТNK, Norilsk Nickel, Seventh Continent and Ericsson.

This year, the CEO and President of TNK-BP, Robert Dudley, won the category of "Best Manager in the Fuel and Energy Sector".

The list of winners is compiled by the editors of Kompaniya magazine and is based on the performance reviews for managers of Russian and foreign companies during the current year.

TNK-BP is a major, vertically integrated Russian oil and gas company. In 2007, average daily oil production totaled 1.6 million barrels per day (excluding a 50% interest of Slavneft). TNK-BP operates five refineries (four in Russia and one in Ukraine) and nearly 1,600 branded retail outlets across both countries.
