Altimo is one of the largest international investment companies acting in the field of mobile and fixed-line telecommunications, holding a leading position on the telecommunications markets of Europe and Asia. In October 2009, Telenor ASA and Altimo announced an agreement to combine their common assets in VimpelCom and Kyivstar to create a leading emerging markets mobile operator, VimpelCom Ltd.

Beeline
VimpelCom Ltd. operates under the "Beeline" brand name providing voice and data services through a range of wireless, fixed and broadband technologies. Beeline includes companies operating in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Vietnam and Cambodia, in territories with a total population of about 340 million.
Kyivstar
Kyivstar as a part of VimpelCom Ltd. operates on the telecommunicational market of Ukraine. Kyivstar's subscriber base by the end of 2009 exceeded 22 mln people. The company is also licensed to operate mobile, city, long-distance, and international phone networks. Additionally, Kyivstar holds licenses to build and maintain its own fixed-line networks and to organize data transmission networks.
MegaFon
MegaFon is one of the largest providers of wireless telecommunications services in Russia. MegaFon's subscriber base by the end of 2009 exceeded 50 mln people. Diversity of services is one of the main competitive advantages of MegaFon. Subscribers of networks in Moscow and St.Petersburg actively use a number of non-voice services based on STK (SIM Tool Kit), LBS (Location Based Services) and MMS (Multimedia Services). The experience in the field of new services development and introduction that has been acquired in Moscow and North-West markets will be used in other regions.
Turkcell
With 63 million subscribers (including Fintur, Astelit and BeST) as of December 2009, Turkcell not only stands as Turkey's leading operator but also enjoys the proud status of being the third largest GSM operator in Europe. Turkcell is the first Turkish company to be listed on NYSE and also trades on Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB).
