TNK-BP expects to hold the second place in Russia on a crude production

TNK-BP expects to hold the second place in Russia on a crude production. It was declared by German Han, chief executive of the company, at the press-conference on September, 30 in Orenburg. As he said, "reaching the second place in Russia on the level of a crude production is a global objective of TNK-BP". G. Han has also informed that in general structure of a crude production the company's share of the oil extracted in the Orenburg region makes about 17%. "Serious investments have been planned for this region in the next year. Our geologists consider here there are long-range deposits", - the chief executive has observed. "We see the huge potential for introduction of the modern technologies in Orenburg", - R. Dudly, TNK-BP president and managing director, has told in turn. G. Hahn also has informed that TNK-BP is going to continue additional financing of the social programs in the Orenburg region. TNK and BP merger will not lead to deterioration of the social responsibility of business which works here", - he has remarked. R. Dudly and G. Hahn during visit have met the executives of the affiliated structures of the company, Alexey Chernyshev, head of the Orenburg region, and heads of the regional areas where the company branches execute its activities. Within a few weeks coming they are planning to visit all oil producing regions where the company works. In particular, on Tuesday evening TNK-BP management will arrive to Saratov. BP and shareholders of TNK (Alpha Groups and Access/Renova, AAR) possessing 97% of shares of the company, in August, 2003 have finished the bargain on creation of TNK-BP.
